COACH & SIGHTSEEING TOURS MIDSOMER NORTON & AREA

Midsomer Norton is situated in Bath & North East Somerset and was once, the centre of a very operational coalfield. With over 70 working mines in its most productive years, the landscape around us has been shaped dramatically by the industry which brought wealth to the area for over three hundred years. Visitors to the Midsomer Norton area will be familiar with its infamous ‘volcano’ – a volcano shaped silhouette which stands proud on one of the town’s main roads for through traffic.

For those interested in learning more about the area, the award-winning museum is located in the neighbouring town Radstock, “Somerset Coalfield Life” at Radstock Museum makes for a great morning or afternoon out and, is a favourite educational trip with the local schools.
Midsomer Norton welcomes a high number of visitors to the area, particular those utilising the town’s central location for business related stays. The town and surrounding area offer an abundance of first-class accommodation in hotels and spas such as Ston Easton Park, Farrington Park, Best Western Plus Centurion Hotel, The Redan Inn, Cameley Lodge, The Litton, Babington House and Bannatyne’s Charlton House Spa Hotel.
