What we’re doing to help keep you and us safe

Our team are ensuring all Government advice in relation to vehicle testing and the workplace has been implemented within our testing site, to ensure we are doing everything that we can to keep you as safe as possible. We have several new procedures in place for each of our new and existing valued customers, which may differ since your last visit to us. Below is outline of the changes we have made and, how this may affect your MOT test when booking and here on site.

  • Social distancing measures are in place throughout our site and, we kindly ask that customers respect and adhere to this while visiting Centurion Travel’s test facility. We are asking all customers to please maintain a distance of two metres between themselves and the Tester at all times.


  • We are requesting all MOT payments be made over the phone via credit/debit card, one working day in advance of the MOT appointment. This reduces the level of contact with our team while visiting us here on site. Card payment receipts can be collected on the day of your MOT and invoices are being processed as normal.


  • On arrival to site, we kindly ask you to wait in and with your vehicle. The MOT Tester will approach your vehicle and communicate what they would like you to do during the test; where they would like you to wait and when you may be required during the test.


  • We have a new MOT Viewing Area for customers who wish to stay with their vehicle. This is situated just outside of Bay 1 and allows you to observe your test from a safe distance. This building is also used as the safe point to transfer documents relating to your MOT.


If your vehicle was due its MOT between 30 March to 31 July you will have received a 6-month extension on your MOT test date. If your MOT annual test date falls before or after this period, your MOT will be required on its usual annual date. If you are unsure of your vehicle’s MOT date, you can use the Gov website (https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history) to check, or speak to us when booking and we can check this for you.
