Administrative Assistant/Receptionist - Midsomer Norton, Nr Bath, Salary £23400 - Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm


THE COMPANY

Centurion Travel is a family company and has been trading since 1989, but coaching has been in the family for four generations and began with charabancs in 1925. Centurion Travel operates a mixed fleet of coaches, which allows them to cater for the needs of all of its customers, ranging from school transport to corporate travel.

 

The company operates from a one acre site, on which in addition to our offices, we have a five bay maintenance facility to ensure all our twenty-eight vehicles are maintained to the highest standard. Our site is also an ATF for HGV / PSV testing and approved for the MOT testing of all cars (Class 4), minibuses (Class 5) and vans up to 3500 kgs (Class 7).


JOB SUMMARY

Full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. Duties include answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling meetings & taking bookings, and maintaining records. This position will be responsible for supporting the team in their daily operations.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle customer enquiries over the phone and via email in a prompt and professional manner, providing accurate information and taking bookings ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date records and files, ensuring easy accessibility and efficient retrieval of information.


KEY SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize duties and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Full time admin assistant/receptionist position available for busy family run coach company & MOT Testing Centre in Midsomer Norton. Experience in Microsoft Office & Sage preferred but not essential, training will be given, must be computer literate. Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner a must. Successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team and under their own initiative. Positive attitude and effective communication skills a must.
